Ingredients
- 12 oz fettuccine or linguine
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet or pot and cook garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add pasta, broth, milk, and cream. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Cook, stirring often, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in Parmesan, season with salt and pepper, and cook 1 to 2 minutes more until creamy.
- Finish with parsley and serve hot.
Tips for the best results
Cook the pasta just to al dente, salt the pasta water well, and save a little pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed. Fresh herbs and Parmesan can add even more flavor at the end.
