• 3 cups cold milk
• 1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed
• 20 chocolate sandwich cookies, finely crushed
• 8 oval vanilla or rectangular shortbread cookies
• Black decorating gel
• 16 gummy worms
• Candy pumpkins (optional)

Step-by-step method

1. Whisk pudding mix with cold milk for 2 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes to thicken, then fold in whipped topping.

2. Write "RIP" on each vanilla cookie with decorating gel to make tombstones.

3. In 8 clear 9-oz cups, layer 1 tablespoon cookie crumbs, a scoop of pudding, a gummy worm pressed against the side, and more pudding.

4. Top each cup with about 2 tablespoons crumbs for dirt. Push a tombstone into the back, tuck in a half-buried worm, and add a candy pumpkin.

5. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.
