- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1 cup chopped spinach
- 1 egg
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella, divided
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- Salt and black pepper
Instructions
- Cook shells until just tender, then drain and cool slightly.
- Mix ricotta, spinach, egg, half the mozzarella, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
- Spread marinara in a baking dish and fill shells with the ricotta mixture.
- Arrange shells in the dish, spoon over more sauce, and top with remaining mozzarella.
- Bake at 375°F for 25 to 30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Tips for the best results
Cook the pasta just to al dente, salt the pasta water well, and save a little pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed. Fresh herbs and Parmesan can add even more flavor at the end.
