Ingredients

  • 6 oz (170 g) thick-sliced salami
  • 7 oz (200 g) semi-firm cheese, cubed
  • 20 pitted green olives
  • 10 cherry tomatoes, optional, halved
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 20 cocktail picks

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Cut the salami and cheese into 20 similarly sized portions.
  2. Combine the olive oil and oregano.
  3. Thread cheese, folded salami, one olive and half a tomato, if using, onto each pick.
  4. Arrange on a platter and brush very lightly with the oregano oil.
  5. Cover and refrigerate; remove 10 minutes before serving.

Tips and variations

  • Choose a cheese that holds its shape, such as Colonia-style, provolone or another semi-firm cheese.
  • Serve chilled but not ice-cold for the best flavor.
